Internationally acclaimed writer Antjie Krog published her first collection of poetry, Dogter van Jefta, fifty years ago. This new selection, by Karen de Wet, includes more than 100 poems from her debut collection to her most recent volume, Mede-wete: eleven volumes in total. The selection again reminds us of Krog’s versatility as writer: her early love poems, poems on motherhood, marriage & policitics: the private as well as the public sphere.
